This is a special first piece in a series I will make with materials used to build/fix homes. It will be an on going series of work that will be an exploration of materials I'm supposed to use to maintain the 83 year old home I bought in which these works are made. I am a first time home owner, and don't know what the f I'm doing. 
 
I feel hilariously out of place at Home Depot as I don't know the first thing about DIYing. Like my fear of painting, I'm terrified of new materials and I will confront my fear and stress with play.
